Philippe first appears in the episode Death Trial as one of the major characters. He accompies Finn and Jake through the Land of Death. Although he is said to help them he only says which way their next battle is, and further on is only annoying, as Jake says.
Appearance[]
Philippe is a floating blue orb with 6 libelle-like wings. Like his name says he has a PHIL Face although this is only seen for brief moments when the camera closes up on him, mostly he is just seen as a floating orb.

- Philippe bears much resemblance to Navi of The Legend of Zelda series, and also acts as navigator just like in the game series.
